Greater St. Louis Nepali Chautari (GSTLNC) would like to express its deepest condolences and sympathy to all those affected by one of the deadliest earthquake followed by multiple tremors in several districts of Nepal, including capital city Kathmandu, on Saturday April 25th 2015.

This quake of 7.8 magnitudes is one of the biggest earthquakes in Nepal. The quake which struck at around 11:41 am Nepal time (12:56 am Central time), occurred at a depths of about 9 miles and is considered more damaging than deeper quake. So far 4500 people have been presumed dead and nearly $10 billion lost in property damages.

We urge all organizations, our local communities, GSTLNC members, all individuals and our friends to stay with Nepalese people to join all rescue efforts and all kind of logistic supports for those who are affected and threatened by this natural disaster. Water, food and fuel are now urgent need to be supplied.
