We are very excited to announce that our annual Saint Louis Nepali Dashain-Tihar Party for 2022 will be held on October 22nd, 2022 Saturday. There will be a wide array of programs lined up for you like Cultural Talent show by local artists, authentic Dashain bhoj and open dance floor with DJ till midnight.

Tickets: GSTLNC member/ students*: $25, General Admission: $35, Door price: $40 and Kids 12 and under is FREE

What is Dashain and Tihar festival? Nepal is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multireligious society. Dashain and Tihar are the two major festivals celebrated by all Nepali and Hindus around the globe. Dashain is celebrated for 10 to 15 days and the Tihar for five. Dashain celebrates the victory of good over evil by goddess Durga.
Tihar festival represents mainly the angelic attachment between humans and other animals (Crow, Dog, Cow, Ox). On the final day aka Bhai Tika, brothers and sisters mark their special bond by worshipping each other.
